Automated features could make the car an ‘oasis’, says TomTom

The mapping experts aren’t concerned with full autonomy so much as taking the load off drivers on stressful roads. By Xavier Boucherat

TomTom’s mapping expertise earned it a place in developing vehicle autonomy in 2011, when it began providing content to Daimler Trucks vehicles that allow for speed control and fuel savings. The company has declared its efforts an unparalleled success, and expects that all trucks will come equipped with similar features in future.
