During a public meeting at Stanford University in California, various representatives from the US government, OEMs, suppliers and safety advocacy groups came together to discuss guidelines for the deployment of autonomous vehicles in the US.
The overriding theme was that a ‘patchwork’ of conflicting regulations across each state is the worst approach. Instead, many suggested that a single regulatory framework needs to be adopted nationally.
