The Company’s distinctly French bus brand launches GX ELEC, its 100% electric bus in Paris.
France’s leader in hybrid technology buses, Heuliez Bus, a brand of CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI /MI: CNHI), has unveiled its new 100% electric GX ELEC bus, which will be tested by the French public transport operator RATP. It was presented to the press and Heuliez Bus customers in Paris at the Motor Village showroom on the Champs-Élysées. The vehicle was then taken for a test drive on the streets of Paris.
This is the latest development for the brand as it furthers its commitment to producing alternative vehicle power solutions. Having already sold 400 hybrid buses to date, Heuliez is committed to providing real alternatives to fossil fuels.
The new zero-emissions vehicles eliminate local pollutants and reduce greenhouse gases, noise pollution and vibrations. The range is designed to meet the demands of today’s urban transport system and is equipped for all day use with night-time recharging and pre-heating in the winter months at bus depots.
Heuliez Bus represents around 26% of the French Bus market with over 440 employees in France. Its facility in Rorthais, France hosts the brand’s Research & Development, Production, Sales, AfterSales, Training, Spare Parts, Purchasing and Human Resources departments. In 2013, the French Prime Minister presented the company with the 100% Origine France Garantie distinction label (certifying authentic French production) for all of the bus ranges manufactured in Rorthais.
