Japan: Toyota results still strong, despite recalls

Global production across Toyota, Daihatsu and Hino jumped 46.5% year-on-year in January to 716,570 units. The 8.6% drop in Daihatsu’s global output to 65,200 units was more than compensated for by a 66.4% rise at Hino (7,445 units) and a 55.8% rise at Toyota (643,925 units).
