South Korea's largest vehicle manufacturer Hyundai and its workers' union have reached a tentative agreement on an increase in wages for 2010, thereby averting a strike.
According to statements released separately by Hyundai and the union, the base monthly salary for workers will be increased by 4.9%, or Won 79,000 (US$66),
