The SMABC automotive metalworkers union in Sao Paulo, Brazil has reached a new labour agreement with leading vehicle manufacturers, avoiding the strike action previously threatened, reports Dow Jones. The agreement covers plants operated by Ford, General Motors, Toyota and Volkswagen.
The union represents around 40,000 metalworkers in the country’s automotive industry.
