Japanese tyre manufacturing company Toyo Tire & Rubber, which announced its acquisition of China-based tyre manufacturer Shandong Silverstone Luhe Rubber & Tyre on 30 June 2011, will invest Ringgits 1.2bn (US$400m) to expand Silverstone's operations in Perak in Malaysia.
Through the acquisition, Toyo now has 100% equity of the local tyre
