Ford sales in Europe ended the year on an upward swing, albeit a modest one. In Ford’s 51 European markets, the OEM’s sales rose 2.4% to 1,578,400 vehicles in 2011. In December alone, new registrations increased 1.1% to 127,300 vehicles.
In Ford’s traditional 19 European markets, the OEM reported a 1.3% contraction
