President Obama's FY2012-13 budget recommends US$10,000 in tax credits for EV and PHEV buyers, and also proposes to cut oil and gas subsidies by US$4bn.
On 13 February Secretary Chu detailed President Obama's fiscal year 2012-2013, which includes a US$27.2bn request for the Energy Department.
