Sirish Batchu, General Manager, Head of Infotronics Technology at Mahindra & Mahindra has been confirmed as a speaker in the Connected Car session at Automotive World’s Megatrends India ’14, which takes place in Chennai on 26 February 2014.
Mr Sirish Batchu has been a General Manager at Mahindra & Mahindra Limited since July 2013. He is the Head of Infotronics Technology and Mobility Solutions as a part of the Technology domain, responsible for Strategy and Technology Development across the Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors. He leads the Connected Vehicle Program across the Mahindra Group of companies, looking towards the creation of a common connectivity platform.
Prior to joining Mahindra, Mr Batchu was the Head of Engineering for Bosch Car Multimedia, responsible for managing the Strategy, Business Development and Engineering Operations of the Bosch Car Multimedia business unit in India and Engineering Services for the International Operations. He worked with Bosch for around 17 years in India, Europe and the USA in various capacities and leadership positions. During his tenure at Bosch, he worked in various domains, which include Automotive Infotainment and Navigation systems, Chassis and Automotive Electronics divisions, Building Security Systems & Home Automation. Batchu was instrumental in building teams from scratch and establishing sustainable delivery processes based on CMMi, towards Software and Product development. He also led various initiatives that have turned into successful new lines of businesses.
Before joining Bosch, Mr Batchu worked with the Indian Space Research Organization, Ahmedabad for around three years, working on image processing of satellite data for remote sensing applications. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from SGSITS, Devi Ahilya University, Indore, and has completed an Executive General Management Programme (EGMP) at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
