Nissan showcases the strength and depth of its entire Indian line-up at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo – headlined by the national debut of the New Nissan Sunny.
The stunning Friend Me concept also makes its first appearance in India at the
country’s premier motor show alongside the mighty GT-R GT500 race car which
competes in Japan’s prestigious Super GT Championship.
The rest of the Nissan stand embodies the brand’s promise of providing innovation
and excitement for everyone and highlights Nissan’s commitment to India through
its extensive model range spanning the hatchback, sedan, MUV and SUV segments.
This is showcased at the Expo by Nissan’s entire family of ‘made in India’ models
including Micra and Micra Active hatchbacks, Evalia MUV and Terrano Compact SUV.
In addition to the vehicles, the show also sees Nissan introduce the groundbreaking
‘Nissan GT Academy’ to India. GT academy gives gamers a once in a lifetime opportunity to become real-world racing drivers by competing on racing simulators.
Nissan also continues to raise awareness of road safety in India at the show through
the Nissan Safety Driving Forum (NSDF) open air display. Here visitors can experience the benefits of important safety technologies like seat belts, airbags and Anti-locking Braking System through specially designed simulators.

New Sunny
With innovative design changes, best in class space and luxurious interiors, the New
Nissan Sunny redefines the already popular midsize sedan. New Sunny features a
fresh new face courtesy sporty boomerang-shaped headlamps and a bolder front
grille. Generous premium chrome embellishments provide an up-market feel to the
New Sunny.
Interiors get a complete refresh with premium piano black finish and chrome inserts
on the center console, all-new leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob as
well as premium audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. Ergonomic integrated
audio controls add to the convenience while leather seats enliven the cabin with an
air of luxury.
Friend-Me Concept
The innovative new Friend-Me Concept channels Nissan’s passion for design
excitement and originality into a concept that explores the possibilities for a next generation saloon. Making its Indian debut at the Delhi Auto Expo, Friend-Me combines sporty and dynamic new design features with a cabin that showcases Nissan’s latest vision of in-car technology and entertainment.
Despite its futuristic feel, Friend-Me is designed and engineered to be accessible to
all. Even the most innovative features showcased on Friend-Me enjoy a link to
production reality, and deliver a tempting vision of what buyers can expect from the
future.
GT-R GT500
The GT-R GT500 is at the very pinnacle of performance and showcases Nissan’s
prowess in race-winning engineering and technology. This specially developed race
version GT-R competes in Japan’s coveted Super GT Series in the GT500 class. The
car is powered by a 3.4-litre V8 engine and features the best in racing design and
aerodynamics. Just one example includes the rear wing and fender which employ a
special “Shark Tooth”-shaped design, which reduces drag while maintaining
downforce.
Terrano
The Nissan Terrano premium compact SUV adds its powerful presence to the Nissan
stand at the Delhi Auto Expo. Terrano takes styling cues from the legendary Nissan
Pathfinder and Patrol SUVs and translates them into a rugged yet stylish compact
SUV, perfect to be driven everyday and everywhere. Nissan showcases the host of
accessories for customers to personalize their Terrano.
Based on the top-of-the-line Terrano XV Premium, the wide-ranging and stylish
accessory package adds elements like roof spoiler, integrated LED blinkers on
rearview mirrors, door visors and LED kicking plate. Functional and convenience
features like side step, tailgate entry guard, mudguard and reverse camera will also
be available to order. Buyers will also be able to specify a 2-din multimedia audio
system and navigation unit.
New Evalia
New Evalia makes a strong and smart statement with its distinctive Nissan styling,
unrivalled spaciousness and flexibility, outstanding drive quality and also boasts a
fuel economy significantly better than any of its rivals. The updated Evalia gets
sliding windows on the middle row, sliding/reclining captain seats in the middle row
and 15-inch alloy wheels in the top of the line XV variant.
New Evalia also benefits from a refresh on the inside with wood trim cluster, new
map lamps for 3rd row passengers and better fitting carpets. It retains features like
the 2nd row AC blower, in-dash 2-din audio system with USB connectivity, rear
wiper and defogger, anti-glare internal rear view mirror, front row assist grip and
glove box lid.
Exterior changes include a new front grille and chrome finisher on the tailgate. The
changes come as a part of Nissan’s customer centric approach and the brand’s
endeavour to constantly improve its products by incorporating customer feedback.
Micra
Micra is a robust, dynamic, advanced hatchback with cutting edge technology,
offering spacious interiors and premium features. It comes loaded with user

Micra now also offers the convenience of a Continuously Variable Transmission
(CVT) gearbox. It’s the first in segment technology for better fuel efficiency and
