Russia is becoming one of the priority markets for OEMs, but remains much of a developing country in terms of telematics, with minimal growth or demand. However, an emergency call system, to be implemented in the Russian automotive market from January 2015, intends to reduce emergency services’ time-to-arrival by up to 30%, saving up to 4,000 additional lives each year, according to studies of the National Entity of Russian Navigation (NISS).
