The Renault-Nissan factory at Chennai, India occupies a unique position within the Alliance’s global manufacturing strategy. While at least one of the group’s two major brands has a production footprint in every continent on earth, only the Indian plant serves both. It now even has a third string to its bow with the start of production of the Datsun Go at the beginning of February.
