A connected car, in a basic manner, can be defined as a car featuring Internet access and in most cases with a wireless local area network. This enables the car to communicate with various devices, such as smartphones and other cars. With smartphones gaining importance, car owners are increasingly favouring a user interface similar to that of phones, and an application-based system in cars.
