Till Oberwörder, Head of Marketing, Sales & After-Sales at Daimler Buses expressed pride in the long-standing partnership: “The handover of these five new vehicles is emblematic of the exceptionally harmonious working relationship between our companies, which has been deepened still further by this renewed expression of confidence in our products. We are delighted that we and our coaches are able, and permitted, to play a major part in the continuing success of Sindbad.”
Managing Director Ryszard Wójcik bought his first Setra coach, an S 315 from the 300 series, as long ago as 1998. He has come to depend on the absolute reliability of these buses, used on Sindbad’s long-distance route network that extends to 20 European countries in all: “The technical standard of the Setra vehicles and the high level of comfort for passengers and drivers, for example on the very long trips to Oslo or Italy that they sometimes undertake, are both unbeatable and represent a fundamental factor in the range of routes we offer.”
Sindbad operates one of Poland’s most well-known travel agencies
The Sindbad coach transport operator, one of Poland’s longest-established travel agencies, was founded in 1983. Today, together with affiliated subsidiaries, the company employs a total of around 700 people. In addition to the operation of long-distance transport routes, the company organises tourist and business events, school excursions and trips to major sporting events.
In 2012, for example, Sindbad joined forces with Setra Buses as part of a consortium responsible for transporting the teams, their support entourages, officials and their guests during the FIFA European Championship in Poland and Ukraine.
