Telematics and safety to change the CV industry

What are the key megatrends set to shape Europe’s Commercial Vehicle industry over the next ten years and beyond? This was the question posed at the Automotive Megatrends Europe 2014 conference held in Brussels on 10 September. Safety and telematics are two megatrends that will have a big impact on the industry in the long term, and together the two forces are enabling the increased safety of truck fleets to become a reality.

In the Big Picture Panel Discussion at the conference, OEMs, consultancy firms, logistics companies, and trade associations came together to discuss the increasing use of truck telematics, and how these new technology solutions are developing in the industry to allow truck fleet managers to experience increased safety among their fleets.
