At its 4 December Connected Car event, the European Automotbile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) discussed the future of the connected car, specifically outlining the challenges and opportunities that exist for the connected car within the automotive industry in the near future.
At the event, ACEA President and Renault and Nissan Chief Executive, Carlos Ghosn, expressed his views on how the industry needs to clarify what it means by the connected car. “Connectivity is an increasingly popular topic which everyone is talking about,” noted Ghosn in his keynote speech. “Put simply, connected cars are cars which are able to communicate with each other, infrastructure, drivers or other parties, to provide information and services.”
