Ford’s Dearborn Truck plant, also known as the Rouge plant, has been implementing increasingly automated machinery. With a recent US$4.7m upgrade, the factory has been able to highlight new features and technologies. In a behind-the-scenes tour of the plant, accompanied by Brian Kinnie, Assistant Plant Manager, Dearborn Truck, Automotive World was able to obtain an inside view into the impact that consumer demands for connectivity have had on the vehicles produced at the plant as well as the way the plant now operates as a whole.
