Q3 data shows no respite for Brazil’s ailing CV sector

Oliver Dixon examines ANFAVEA’s data for Brazil’s CV registrations in September 2015

ANFAVEA has released data for September commercial vehicle registrations, production and export for Brazil. As we move into the fourth quarter of 2015, we see the continuation of the miserable trend that has established itself throughout the year.

Compared with September 2014, total registrations for all but one of the five segments are negative. Semi light registrations fell back year-on-year by 21.6%, while light registrations declined by 39.7%. Medium duty registrations slumped by 36.9% while semi heavy (down 47.8%) and heavy (down 57.1%) complete a very gloomy picture.
