GAZ Group, a member of Basic Element, a most diversified Russian industrial group, supplies 19 KAVZ school buses to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
GAZ Group supplied 19 KAVZ buses to the Russian northern regions: 14 KAVZ-4238-75 CNG buses to the Administration of Yakutia, and 5 KAVZ-4238-45 diesel buses to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. The vehicles will be given to schools of Yakutsk and Labytnangi.
All KAVZ school buses comply with the technical requirements to children transportation set by GOST R 51160-98. Each vehicle is used for transportation of 34 passengers. All seats are equipped with safety belts. Buses are outfitted with racks for school bag pack, additional adjustable step, emergency button, internal and external loud speaker, integrated speed limitation up to 60 km/h, door controls (the bus does not start moving while the doors are open). Buses are also equipped with heated rear-view mirrors and reverse signal alarm.
The design of buses supplied to Yamal and Yakutia is made with regard to northern conditions: double side-window glazing, additional floor, roof and side thermal insulation and additional heater for passenger compartment.
KAVZ-4238-75 medium class buses are equipped with E4 Cummins diesel engine with the power of 210 h.p. KAVZ 4238-75 CNG medium class buses are equipped with E5 Cummins engines with the power of 168.8 h.p. Gas fuel (methanol) is filled into five 123 l bottles, which provides for fuel range of up to 480 km.

Technical requirements”. The company manufactures diesel and CNG vehicles for children transportation.
