GAZ Group, part of one of the major Russian diversified industrial companies – Basic Element, presents ambulances and social vehicles based on the GAZelle NEXT van. Two new versions: class B ambulance and wheel-chair accessible bus are displayed at the 25th international show “Healthcare-2015” held in Moscow from 7 till 11 December.
GAZ Group presents ambulances and social vehicles based on the GAZelle NEXT van.The ambulance and wheel-chair accessible bus are based on the new GAZ model – GAZelle Next panel van launched into production in October this year. The 1/3 larger body volume, independent front suspension, rack-and-gear steering, new gearbox, highly efficiency brake system are characteristic of the model. All these ensure enhanced functionality, excellent steerability and ergonomics, active and passive safety.
The class B ambulance is developed in accordance with the requirements of health-care establishments and ambulance stations. The vehicle configuration ensures maximum comfort for the crew when transporting patients and preparing for calls. The walls and ceiling of the compartment are trimmed with the white molded washable plastic with smooth surface that does not absorb smells, resistant to the impact of medicine and detergents, the floor is made using the seamless self-leveling technology. Special mobile panels provide for wide opportunities of equipment location. The air conditioner and additional heater ensure comfortable temperature in any season. The vehicle is equipped with LED light, two exterior lighting blocks, additional lamps in the infusion block, electric circuits of 12 and 220 V, pipeline of medical gases, three rotary seats with four-point belts, washer with electric pump for water supply as well as many cupboard with fastener for medical equipment.
The GAZelle NEXT wheel-chair accessible bus is equipped with the electric elevator with remote control for wheel chair lifting. The device is located in the rear door. The passenger capacity of the bus is 10 passengers including one wheel chair place. All the seats are equipped with three-point belts. The vehicle is equipped with air conditioner and additional heater to ensure comfortable temperature in the compartment. The special electronic system presents the vehicle from movement unless the electric elevator is fixed in the drive position and the doors are closed.
Both models are equipped with the Cummins ISF 2,8 diesel engines of 149 hp.
