Vauxhall has expanded its fleet relationship with the Banham Group, one of Britain’s longest-established security providers, with the addition of 55 Vivaro and Combo vans.
The company, Banham Group, which was established in 1926 when their founder William F. Banham invented the first automatic door lock, runs a fleet of approximately 200 vehicles, including Vauxhall Corsa, Astra and Insignia cars alongside Astravan and Vivaro vans. Its fleet is on a four-year replacement cycle and around 70 per cent of it is Vauxhall product, which will increase to 100 per cent in the near future.
Banham is a family-owned and run company and are the largest supplier of security systems in London and the South East. Commenting on the expanding fleet deal, Managing Director, William Banham said: “Vauxhall has been extremely proactive in supporting us and its fleet set-up is very impressive. It is important to us that our fleet fully represents our company values to the thousands who see it on a daily basis on the roads and therefore it seemed only natural to use the UK’s oldest and most iconic automotive brand.”
The new Vauxhall Combo L1H1 1.6 CDTi delivering 105PS and Vivaro L1H1 1.6 CDTi with 115PS vans have been supplied with Bluetooth and rear parking sensors and have been specified in black with gold signwriting, matching Banham’s well-known branding. William added: “We have been very pleased with the Vivaro vans already in our fleet, with impressively low servicing and whole life costs. The fact that they are built in Britain, just like our patented high security locks, is an added attraction.”
Vauxhall commercial vehicle retailer GO Vauxhall in Wimbledon, which supplied the Combo and Vivaro vans, is also responsible for all servicing and maintenance of Banham’s fleet.
Robert Patching of GO Vauxhall Fleet Sales commented: “We’re thrilled that Banham not only sees the attraction of such a large range of Vauxhall vehicles for its fleet, but also recognises the benefit of our aftersales assistance. Our commitment to maintenance and servicing of Banham’s vehicles is paramount and will ensure the smooth running of its fleet.”
James Taylor, Fleet Sales Director at Vauxhall, said: “We are proud to work with British businesses like Banham to support them with all their fleet needs, from cars to vans and see our relationships as more than simply supplying vehicles. We work hard to provide all our customers with the assistance they need, from training to fleet servicing.”
