VW’s diesel fix falls short of CARB expectations

Recent statements by Volkswagen, and even US authorities, have implied that the emissions scandal could be nearing a close, with technical fixes and recall plans set in motion. But the latest recall plan proposal has been deemed by the Californian Air Resources Board (CARB) to be “incomplete, substantially deficient, and falling far short of meeting the legal requirements.”
