December tyre data highlights Brazil’s dire truck market

Michelin has released tyre sales and shipment data for December for Europe, North America and Brazil. In terms of OEM tyre shipments, Brazil remains predictably bad whereas Europe continues to improve. North American shipments are now in their third successive month of decline. Michelin now breaks out European data into two segments – that which includes Russia and CIS markets and that which does not. While the net figure still includes Turkey in its data, removing Russia gives added clarity and thus greater value to the set.
