Active safety growth and replacement inflator setbacks for Autoliv

Targets to supply 20 million replacement airbag inflators up to 2016 have been pushed back a year. By Freddie Holmes

2015 was a busy year for Autoliv as it continued transitioning toward active safety systems whilst simultaneously ramping up airbag inflator production. In a call to analysts to discuss full year and Q4 2015 results, Chief Executive Jan Carlson advised that the company had a “strong finish” to last year, exceeding organic sales growth and margin expectations.
