Mobileye confident in the face of competition

The company believes new players underestimate the requirements to succeed in the autonomous driving space, writes Freddie Holmes

The advent of new players dipping their toes into automotive waters has sent ripples through the industry. Whereas some see traditionally non-automotive companies as a threat, others are less concerned, arguing that household automotive names are well established for a reason.

Although lacking the heritage of some more established automotive companies, Mobileye – founded in 1999 – has been reaping the rewards of growing interest in autonomous driving.
