Ferrari Japan made a special announcement about a significant milestone this weekend – the 50th Anniversary of Ferrari in Japan, and officially unveiled the anniversary commemorative logo during Ferrari Racing Days 2016.

Back in 1966, the first officially road-registered Ferrari as classified by the Japan Government Bureau was recorded, and it was a Ferrari 275 GTB.

“I am pleased to officially unveil to you tonight, for the first time, our new 50th Anniversary commemorative logo,” Ferrari Japan Managing Director, Reno De Paoli commented during the Gala Dinner at Ferrari Racing Days. “It signifies the special bond between Ferrari, Japan and its people, and the design can be described as Soul & Spirit.”

Ferrari Japan 50th Anniversary

“Soul” is a key element of Japanese culture, and though reserved on the exterior, there is a strong passion, a fire burning within the spirit of the Japanese people. The “Spirit” is marked by a simple, powerful yet beautiful stroke that is within every Japanese. The characteristics of Soul & Spirit define Ferrari’s unique and cherished relationship with the country of Japan and the Japanese people.

To celebrate this very special occasion, a series of special activities are planned for this year, starting off with the Ferrari Racing Days 2016 where the extreme 1,050 cv FXX K made its Japan debut. It is also announced that the Ferrari International Cavalcade this year will be hosted by Japan, taking place in Kyoto from Nov 10th to 14th.
