In January 2015, Sachin Lawande, then Executive Vice President and President of Harman’s Infotainment Division, remarked that the company was aiming for ‘mega supplier’ status – that is, to be unrestrained by geography or technology. “The only way to break out of the pack is to focus on technology as the differentiator,” he noted at the time.
