The number of cyber attacks is mounting up, and recent reports have raised fresh concerns for owners of connected vehicles.
On 13 June, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) confirmed that a third party had “tried to decode the password” for the Wi-Fi connection used by the Outlander PHEV’s Remote Control app. Owners of this vehicle have access to a smartphone app that enables certain functions to be controlled remotely.
