Mobileye's new partnership with Delphi further supports its lead in autonomous drive technology and offers the prospect of a quicker time to market for OEMs. Mobileye and Delphi plan to jointly develop a complete SAE Level 4/5 automated driving solution, and the industry won't have to wait long to see the first fruits. The partners are promising to demonstrate their Central Sensing Localisation and Planning (CSLP) platform in combined urban and highway driving at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, with fleet testing to begin shortly after. It should be production ready for 2019. That's two years ahead of the 2021 timeframe targeted by others, including Ford and Mobileye's partner BMW.
