European freight movement looking good, according to MAUT

European truck freight movement was up year-on-year in September 2016, according to official German data. Granted, freight movement is not sales data, but the broader the range of datasets that can be analysed, the sharper the image that emerges of the region’s true truck market.

One such dataset is MAUT truck toll data. Germany’s Federal Office for Goods Transport (Bundesamt für Güterverkehr, BAG) publishes MAUT
