Western Star will showcase some of its toughest vocational solutions at its indoor (#S63629) and outdoor (#B9300) booths at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017.
That includes the Western Star 6900XD Multi-Body Transformer MBT-40, a chassis that can convert from dump truck to tanker in 10 minutes. Based on a 6900XD chassis spec’d with Western Star’s Extreme Duty (XD) Off-Road package, the MBT-40 eliminates the need for multiple pieces of dedicated off-road equipment on job sites that go unused for long periods of time. It can quickly change from one fully functional in-cab controlled body application to another.
Western Star’s booth will also display:
- 4700SF Con-Tech BridgeKing Mixer spec’d with a Detroit DD13 engine and an Allison 4700 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) transmission
- Twin-steer 4800SB BIK Hydraulics PM 100 Knuckle Boom Crane spec’d with a Detroit DD13 engine and an Eaton Fuller FO-18E318B-MXP transmission
- 4900SB hydrovac truck spec’d with a Detroit DD15 engine and an Eaton Fuller RTO-16908LL transmission
- This will be the first time Western Star will showcase its 4900XD 25-Ton Dump truck. Featuring the Detroit DDC 60 Tier III engine and Allison 4500 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) transmission and a Columbia Elliptical Body, the 4900XD 25-ton Dump truck is built with the toughest features that can withstand even the most extreme applications.
