PEUGEOT will showcase its Special Vehicle Operations with two vans displayed on the PEUGEOT Stand (Hall 5 stand D60) at the CV Show. The first is a PEUGEOT Partner L2 in Royal Mail livery. Since 2009, PEUGEOT has supplied The Royal Mail with around 20,000 vehicles, many of them Partners. PEUGEOT carries out the necessary conversion work to accommodate any specialist requirements from the Royal Mail.

PEUGEOT’s specialist conversions have also caught the eye of police forces across the country. PEUGEOT has worked with police customers since the 1970s, originally through its Talbot brand and the business has expanded steadily since the first PEUGEOT 306 models appeared in police livery. Today PEUGEOT prepares between 1,200 and 1,500 vehicles for UK police forces each year across its car and van ranges. This compares with 500 per year in the early 2000s and the current volume represents the greatest number of vehicles that PEUGEOT has ever supplied to UK police forces. Models include Partner, Expert and Boxer vans as well as 208, 308, 3008, 508 and 5008 cars. The van on display at the CV Show is a New Expert Standard in police livery with a bespoke internal racking solution to support the work of police scenes of crime officers. In addition to police forces, PEUGEOT also supplies between 500 and 700 patient transport service ambulances each year, based on the Boxer chassis.

For the Police and Royal Mail all conversion work takes place through PEUGEOT’s Special Vehicle Operations as a “one stop shop”. The conversion work is carried out by the PSA Group technical centre in Coventry and regional validated converters. All work is carried out under PSA Group instruction and to the company’s exacting specifications.
