General Motors met with a legal setback recently as the Supreme Court of the US (SCOTUS) turned down its request to review a previous ruling regarding responsibility for victim compensation. Counsel for the victims has seized the opportunity to criticise GM's continued fight in the courts, which it views as contradictory to the repeated messages from management.
