Dinesh Paliwal has his hands full. As Chief Executive and President of Harman, the US$7bn-plus parent company of well-known audio brands including AKG, Harman/Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon, Mark Levinson and Revel, he is now preparing for the next phase of growth – connected cars and autonomous driving.
Harman, a Samsung subsidiary after a US$8bn acquisition in late 2016, is leading the Korean electronics giant’s charge in the automotive space, and Paliwal is the bridge between the automakers and Silicon Valley. Automotive World caught up with Paliwal at CES in January 2018.
