From drones to shared shuttles, VW reconceives mobility

VW Group executives promote future auto tech at Geneva, but also hint at ongoing potential for combustion engines. By Megan Lampinen

There was no room for defeat devices or diesel bans at the Volkswagen Group Media Night on the eve of the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The event shone a spotlight on how the diversified Group was planning to tackle the challenges of urban mobility in the future. The approaches are as varied as the brands within the Group itself, and span everything from an electric Moia shared mobility shuttle and the Skoda Vision X natural gas hybrid to the Bentley Bentayga Hybrid and the all-electric and highly intelligent Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion.
