The Sunshine State has established itself a leader for autonomous testing, with regulations embracing the technology, and as part of the project, two Volvo Class 8 trucks fitted with Peloton’s platooning solution covered over 1,000 miles. These were separated by a distance of 65 feet (20 metres) – enough to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve fuel efficiency.
