Diesel – black clouds here to stay, or just a passing storm?

Diesel is in decline. Sales across Europe are declining at an increasing pace. According to AlixPartners’ Global Automotive Outlook 2018, diesel will account for less than 5% of new cars sold in Europe by 2030. But while governments increasingly legislate the technology towards obsolescence, automakers face a conundrum in where to invest to plug the gap in emissions performance against EU targets that the decline in diesel fleet sales represents.
