Mercedes-Benz has won two awards at the 2019 Parkers New Car awards. The newly revised C-Class was named ‘Best Company Car of the Year’, while the flagship S-Class was named ‘Best Luxury Car of the Year’.
The refreshed C-Class was praised for its new range of efficient petrol and diesel engines and comfortable interior. For the second year in a row, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been named ‘Best Luxury Car’. The S-Class continues to be recognised for its comfortable interior, excellent ride quality and innovative technology.
Keith Adams, Editor of Parkers, said: “The C-Class is a brilliantly-evolved company car that offers engines and equipment for everyone on the company car ladder. It might have class-leading tech on offer, but it’s all simple to use, and that – combined with its superb levels of comfort – make it the perfect car to spend those long working days in.
‘‘For decades, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been the de facto best car in the world, and the current car is no exception. It’s a supremely relaxing car to drive, hugely capable, and if you’re in the back, no other car for the money will look after you better.”
The revised C-Class line-up is available now with a range of refined new diesel and petrol engines. Prices start at £30,520 for the entry-level C 180 SE Saloon. A key new feature is the optionally available 12.3-inch digital cockpit display – part of the £4,995 Premium Plus package – which, combined with the standard 10.25-inch infotainment display, further enhances the luxurious cabin.
