Abarth’s continued popularity in the UK is illustrated in last week’s new car registration figures, which show the best September ever, and the second-best month in 2018.
There was an almost 27 per cent year-on-year sales increase, as continued interest in the Abarth 595 and 124 spider brings new customers to the brand.
Abarth registered 987 cars in September – the 9th consecutive month-on-month increase with year-on-year growth – compared with 780 cars in the same month last year.
Meanwhile, the year-to-date figure of 4518 means the performance brand is up 29 per cent when compared with the 3500 units it had sold year-to-date in 2017. The September sales figure also means that Abarth has surpassed total sales for the whole of 2017 which was the best ever year to date performance.
Abarth UK has also delivered the highest sales for the brand across Europe for September and is the largest market for 2018.
“The sales figures are fantastic news, and the Abarth brand continues its popularity as we approach its 70th Anniversary in 2019,” says Andrea Lo Presti, Marketing Director for Fiat & Abarth UK. “More customers than ever are choosing an Abarth as they recognise the brand offers both style and performance.”
