Volvo has received an order for 144 Volvo 9800 coaches from Mobility ADO, one of the largest coach operators in Mexico. The vehicles will be delivered in 2019.
The new Volvo coaches will join an already existing fleet of almost 350 Volvo 9800 coaches at Mobility ADO.
The mission of long-distance transport operator Mobility ADO, founded in 1939, is to “improve the quality of life through mobility”. The Mexican company, which also is present in other markets in Latin America and Europe, continues to invest in modern coaches with high safety and technology in order to guarantee comfortable and safe rides to its customers.
The new coaches will be equipped with features such as Collision Warning and Emergency Break and Lane Keeping Support, a system which warns the driver if the coach is about to cross a lane marking unintentionally.
“It is indeed quite fulfilling to be able to contribute to the business objectives of Mobility ADO. This new fleet will help make roads safer in Mexico and will deliver a new level of comfort to Mobility ADO’s customers,” said Moshe Winer, sales director at Volvo Buses Mexico.
“We are very pleased that the Volvo 9800 is regarded not only as the most efficient in fuel consumption , but also as the most innovative for its strong focus on passengers’ safety.”
Volvo launched the Volvo 9800 in Mexico in 2016 and is the market leader in the long-distance coach segment.
