MG soars after renewing relationship with Birmingham Airport

MG Motor UK is delighted to announce that it has renewed its long-standing, four-year relationship with Birmingham Airport, meaning that the iconic British brand will continue to greet visitors to one of the UK’s largest regional airports.

The deal will see MG take pride of place outside the Airport until at least August 2021, after agreeing a three-year extension to the existing advertising partnership. The displays will be refreshed every quarter, showcasing the best the MG brand has to offer.

As the fastest growing car manufacturer in the UK, MG is the ideal partner for Birmingham Airport and its sponsorship partner Perfect Fit Media, with all parties experiencing sustained growth. MG is on-track to double its sales in 2018, whilst the Airport experienced its busiest year ever in 2017, with 13 million passengers passing through its terminal.

MG has long been associated with Birmingham, with its Longbridge site remaining extremely important, hosting to the marque’s Institute of the Motor Industry accredited Cecil Kimber College. Longbridge also continues to be one of MG’s main global design and engineering centres where over 250 staff work on new MG cars for the global market. Over the past 12-months MG has invested more than half a million pounds in its Longbridge site, and the advertising at Birmingham Airport highlights a further commitment to the area.
