COMMENT: Prioritising urban mobility will positively shape cities of the future

More than half (55%) of the world’s population lives in cities. Of those cities, 31 are already classified as megacities—that is, urban environments with over 10 million inhabitants. With cities across the globe becoming ever more densely populated and the number of megacities expected to rise to 41 by 2030, it’s clear that we need more innovative approaches to address existing challenges such as congestion, pollution and sustainability.
