The next decade will see the automotive world move towards the assumed nirvana of electric and autonomous personal transport, but progress will be a crawl rather than a sprint. Countries like Norway—where battery only cars are already over half the new car market, and by 2025 all new cars will be zero-emission—will be the exception rather than the rule.
