Rapid tyre checking, efficient fleet management, and user-friendliness: these are the key advantages enjoyed by commercial vehicles administered by Infogestweb, which can now also rely on a bespoke tyre monitoring system developed by Pirelli Cyber. This system is based on sensors that remotely monitor tyre pressures and temperatures, and it has now been integrated with Infogestweb’s ‘Golia’ fleet management digital platform, available for all their customers.
Regular maintenance and tyre monitoring are important to guarantee the safety of both people and merchandise. Tyres at the correct pressure also help contribute to a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. But keeping tyres in top form usually requires an important investment in resources as well as time.
Pirelli’s Cyber technology drastically reduces the time needed to check tyre pressures by utilising sensors within the tyres, making it easier to plan scheduled maintenance. Thanks to this integration with Golia – the only fleet platform in Europe that offers complete management of tachograph data – fleet managers can remotely monitor driver hours as well as vehicle data, including the condition and maintenance status of tyres.
Daniel Gainza, chief commercial officer of Pirelli Cyber, said: “Pirelli’s Cyber technology means that we can now integrate tyre data into a suite of connectivity platforms. We’ve also designed our system to make it extremely easy and convenient to use.”
Infogestweb managing director Claudio Carrano added: “Our fleet telematics and management services are already a key ingredient in our customers’ success. Now we can offer the added bonus of tyre monitoring, underling how safety and sustainability are at the very heart of our corporate values.”
