Long-haul’s driver shortage leaves sector on knife’s edge

Driving any commercial vehicle can be an arduous task, but long-haul truck drivers have a more difficult job than most. While smaller vans and trucks are being electrified, offering drivers more comfortable rides, instant torque and usually the very latest infotainment tech, long-haul drivers will be waiting much longer to access many of these benefits given this segment’s differing powertrain requirements.
