AV cyber security depends on open communication 

While AVs may be the future, some experts believe the industry needs to do more to ensure maximum cyber security. By Stewart Burnett 

Autonomous vehicles (AVs) may be the future, but strong cyber security must be in place before they can be realised. In April 2023, the Motor Insurers Bureau issued a warning about the technology, claiming that it could lead to a “much higher incidence” of terrorist attacks. In addition, the company cited fears of users being extorted in ‘cash-for-crash' scenarios wherein hackers gain full access to the self-driving system.
