Elektrobit receives 2023 Gasgoo Award “Top 100 Players of China’s New Automotive Supply Chain” for second consecutive year

Elektrobit today announced it has received the prestigious Gasgoo Award “Top 100 Players of China’s New Automotive Supply Chain” for the second consecutive year. The software supplier is being recognized for EB corbos Linux – built on Ubuntu, its automotive-grade open-source operating system product and solution launched earlier this year. Elektrobit accepted the award during a ceremony held October 19 in Shanghai.

The Gasgoo Awards 2023 recognize companies with outstanding products and solutions in automotive, and are conducted by Gasgoo, a global leading automotive industry information service platform. The “Top 100 Players of China’s New Automotive Supply Chain” program awards companies that are leading technology and business model innovation in an era when the automotive industry value chain is being reshaped, and cross-border integration between information technology and the automotive industry is accelerating. It covers ten core segments: autonomous driving; smart cockpit; software; automotive chip; artificial intelligence; powertrain electrification; intelligent chassis; body and exterior & interior; low-carbon and new materials as well as thermal management.

EB corbos Linux – built on Ubuntu, developed in partnership with Canonical, represents a breakthrough for the industry, bringing the largest open-source Linux community to automotive software to facilitate the development of software-defined vehicles. The new product and solution provides OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers with the benefits and flexibility of the Linux open-source operating system for developing electronic control units (ECUs) in software-defined vehicles. It integrates Ubuntu, provided by Canonical, in a solution that addresses the specific needs of the automotive sector.

The open-source nature of EB corbos Linux – built on Ubuntu makes it simple to study and inspect, speeding up development. Elektrobit provides long-term security and hardware maintenance, giving customers an automotive ECU solution from a single source, leveraging all the advantages of open-source software. Customers gain added value with security updates and issue resolution during the complete life cycle of their automotive projects.
