Amid lower-than-expected production figures and waning confidence from customers and creditors alike, Northvolt’s financial struggles are coming into sharp relief. Dual news reports from Reuters and The Financial Times (FT), dated 15 and 16 November 2024 respectively, allege that the troubled Swedish battery manufacturer is weighing the possibility of filing for Chapter 11 protection from creditors.
