This elegant seven-seater, embodying the “Big. Easy. Fun.” concept is ready to deliver “Excitement in Every Drive, Convenience in Every Detail”. With a starting price of 1,469,000 baht, the New Nissan Serena offers a package of style, spaciousness, and technology for Thai families looking to enrich their journeys and shared moments.
The new model debuts with the S-Hybrid technology, which is now open for bookings and scheduled for deliveries in January 2025. The Nissan Serena lineup will later expand to include the e-POWER version.
Toshihiro Fujiki, President of Nissan Motor Thailand and ASEAN, said, “Thailand is one of our key markets in ASEAN. The launch of the New Nissan Serena today underscores our commitment to the Thai market and to enhancing people’s lives through exciting mobility. With its generous space, flexibility, and functionality, we are confident the New Nissan Serena will transform any journey into an enjoyable and memorable experience, allowing customers to create more precious moments with family and friends.”
The launch of the New Nissan Serena is part of Nissan’s strategic plan to continuosly refresh its product portfolio over the next three years. Recognizing the Thai value of togetherness and the growing demand for MPVs, Nissan is bringing the New Nissan Serena to market—a vehicle that has already been well-received in Japan and other regions for its comfort, versatility, and practicality.
“BIG”: Spacious cabin and large windows for a clear view
Since its debut in Japan in 1991, the Nissan Serena has been celebrated for its exceptional spaciousness. The New Nissan Serena, launched today, continues this legacy, offering the most spacious cabin in its segment with generous space for all passengers across all three rows.
Thanks to its thoughtfully designed interior, the New Nissan Serena offers an extra-large luggage space at the rear, without compromising the comfort of third-row passengers.
The large front windshield and expansive windows enhance visibility and create an airy, open feel, helping to reduce motion sickness and enhance the overall driving experience.
“EASY” to use and operate
Understanding customers’ needs for group travel, the New Nissan Serena is designed to be exceptionally easy to use and operate.
The hands-free dual power sliding doors make entering and exiting the vehicle effortless, even when your hands are full of shopping bags. A first-in-class dual back door is lightweight and easily opened or closed. It also allows passengers to open the rear door even when the vehicle is parked at tight space and helps prevent objects from falling out when the door is opened.
The second-row seats can be adjusted independently to create extra space between seats, allowing passengers to move freely while maintaining high levels of privacy. The third-row seats are adjustable and can be reclined for added comfort during long journeys. With various storage compartments, 14 cup holders, 6 USB ports (2 ports on each row), a separate air conditioning system for passengers to adjust the temperature that suits their needs, and multi-purpose personal tables on the second row where passengers can place their personal devices like tablets and enjoy the movie on the go, the New Nissan Serena ensures convenience in every detail.
The 10.1-inch HD touchscreen, which supports both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, offers an enhanced infotainment experience. The screen also integrates with the Intelligent Around View Monitoring system, providing the driver with a clear view of the surroundings for improved safety.
“FUN” with flexible seat arrangement
The New Nissan Serena is designed to make family travel fun for everyone, and deliver “Excitement in Every Drive, Convenience in Every Detail”. Its flexible seating arrangement offers up to 13 adjustable configurations, e.g. long luggage mode, where the seats are adjusted to create space for long luggage or golf bags; extra legroom mode, where the second row is pushed back to provide more legroom; travel-to-the-sea mode, where the second and third rows are adjusted to accommodate surfboards, diving gear, and suitcases; and fun-at-the-back mode, where the second and third-row seats fully recline to create a daybed for family members to lie down and relax, among others. These different seat arrangements make it easy to tailor the interior to suit any family activity.
Responsive, fuel-efficient, and fun driving
To address families’ concerns about performance and efficiency, the New Nissan Serena is powered by a 2.0-liter engine that delivers up to 150 PS and 200 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. The S-Hybrid (mild hybrid) technology works in tandem with the ECO Motor, delivering both responsiveness and fuel efficiency.
Safe and worry-free trip with advanced safety features
Traveling in the New Nissan Serena is made even more enjoyable with its advanced 360° Nissan Safety Shield, featuring a range of active safety systems including Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to enhance driver confidence. The Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD) offers a virtual bird’s-eye view of the surroundings and provides visual indicators if movement is detected around the vehicle. The Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFW) and Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking (IEB) help reduce the risk of a frontal collision, while the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system alerts the driver if the vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane.
Additional active safety technologies include Blind Spot Warning (BSW), which detects approaching vehicles in the blind spot, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), which warns of oncoming cars when reversing from a parking space or driveway. The Intelligent Driver Alertness (IDA) system further supports safe driving by monitoring driver fatigue and reminding the driver when it’s time to take a break. Other active features include Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Traction Control System (TCS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
The New Nissan Serena also ensures comprehensive passenger protection with an array of passive safety features such as six SRS airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors for secure child seat installation, and front pretensioner safety belts to reduce the risk of injury.
The New Nissan Serena is available in one grade – Highway Star, and two color choices – Diamond Black and White Solid Colors.
